"Carnival Funfair Games
" attempts to recreate the fun of carnival games.
"Carnival Funfair Games" for the Nintendo DS, known simply as "Carnival Games" in North America, re-creates the carnival experience, featuring more than 20 mini-games such as skee ball, football toss and the test of strength. Knowing some hints and tips can help you successfully master the various games and unlock hidden Easter eggs and in-game prizes.
Hidden Games
You can perform certain tasks to unlock two hidden mini-games. Enter the carnival and visit the "Spilled Milk" mini-game, which appears as three milk bottles on the map. Once there, go left until you spot a beehive. Tap it to unlock the "Honey Falls" mini-game. To unlock a second mini-game, enter the carnival and go to the far right until you find a boom box playing music. Tap the boom box to activate the "Radio Replay" mini-game.
Free Tickets
Performing well during mini-games wins you prizes or tickets that can then be exchanged for prizes. Employing a simple trick can earn you an abundance of free tickets right from the start before ever even having to play a game. When naming your character, choose the name "ZZZCD" to gain 9,999 free tickets.
Extras
Interacting with certain spots throughout the game will activate hidden extras, not all of which are beneficial. If you notice a flashing spot in the dirt, tap it to unearth the gizmo prize, which allows you to fly around the fairgrounds. Tapping the ball of yarn returns it to the cat and earns you a prize, as does tapping the wiggling barrel lid or playing with the girl on the seesaw. However, stay clear of the cotton candy cart, because merely touching it costs you points.
Hats
You can win a variety of hats as prizes for performing well in games or for performing certain tasks. For instance, tap the monkey when it pops out of the barrel next to the Swami to win the fez. And if you keep playing the Great Swami game over and over, you eventually earn a special card that wins the Swami's hat. Knocking down the red-striped bottles in the Spilled Milk game earns the pirate's hat. In the Shoot for the Stars game, shoot the cowboy hat to win it. Hitting the army hat during the Pigskin Pass mini-game wins the hat as a prize. At the Dunk Tank, hit the green hat above the target to win the hat. Finally, pop three small green balloons during Balloon Darts to win the jester's hat.
