Fund raising does not need to be complicated to be effective. There are plenty of fun and easy fund raising games you could play to help raise the funds your organization needs to reach its goals. Some of the easy and fun games may take a little planning to get right, but when you have a game that is fun to play you increase the chances that you will bring in the funding you need from your event.
Bowling
Bowling is an activity that just about anybody can do, and when it is done as a fund raiser it can become a great deal of fun. There are several easy ways to raise money with a bowling fund raiser. Each bowler goes out and gets sponsors who agree to pay a certain amount of money for every pin that the bowler knocks down in a three game set. Bowlers could pay a fee to enter what is called a strikes derby where the bowler with the most strikes in a three game set wins a portion of the entry fee money. A simpler way to do a fun bowling fund raiser is just ask each bowler to donate a set amount of money to bowl for the afternoon, and then sell concessions to the bowlers to add to the money raised.
Walking or Running
An easy and fun fund raiser that seems to bring out large groups of participants is some sort of walking or running competition. Each competitor gets sponsors to pledge money for each mile they walk or run, and then they attempt to complete the entire course you have laid out. A walking or running fund raiser is a great way to get the entire community involved in your charitable effort, and there are so many things you can add to one of these events to raise more money. Get the local companies involved and have them donate prizes for a raffle to be held at the end of the event. Sell concessions, do a 50/50 split club and maybe even host a full cook-out after the event with an admission price to anyone that wants to attend.
Water Balloons
A charity water balloon fight might take some organizing to get together, but if you charge people by the balloon then it could be a lucrative event. Find a safe area where people can throw water balloons at each other, get a local vendor to donate the balloons and then charge an admission fee as well to the participants. You may be able to get local companies to team up against each other in featured water balloon fights that could raise a lot of money for your cause.
