Children can jazz up a basic canvas bag into their own masterpiece.
Many children love crafts and craft projects. With the help of a few craft supplies and deas, kids can transform a basic canvas bag into a fashionable tote. From a book bag to an overnight bag, organize ideas for children to decorate the bag. Tote bag crafts also allow kids to show off their creativity and artistic skills.
Painting
For basic decorating, give the children acrylic paints, paintbrushes and stencils to decorate the canvas bag. They can create a lunch bag by painting pictures of food on the bag and using letter stencils to write "______'s Lunch Tote." Another idea is to create a beach bag by having the kids use beach-themed stencils to paint pictures on the canvas bag. For added decoration, the kids can attach small seashells to the bag using craft glue.
Embellishments
Embellishments are available at many crafts stores and online. Kids can use marabou, rhinestones, sequins, lace, ribbons and buttons to decorate a canvas bag.
