Adult Party Active Games

When planning your next adult party or get-together, be sure to plan several active party games to keep your guests up on their feet. Games keep party guests involved in the party and prevent boredom. Award prizes, such as gift cards and candles, as incentives to keep the guests eager to play the next game.

Balloon Popping Teams

Divide the adults into teams and over-inflate several balloons to make them easier to pop. Inflate different-colored balloons for each team. For example, if you have three teams, make 20 orange balloons, 20 red balloons and 20 blue balloons. Designate a balloon color for each team and mix all the colors together. Scatter the balloons all over the floor. When you say, "Pop those balloons," the teams must try to pop all their team color balloons. Players can use their hands, feet and entire body to pop the balloons. The first team to pop all their team-colored balloons wins the game and a prize.

Frozen T-Shirt Contest

Soak several T-shirts in water and fold them as if you were going to place them away in a drawer. Place the shirts in a freezer overnight. Have the adults go outside and give each player a frozen T-shirt. Tell the players that the first person to thaw her shirt and put it on wins the game. Players can hit the shirts on the ground and use their body heat to melt the ice.

Don't Say No

As each adult arrives, place a party lei around his neck and tell him not to say the word no. If any player hears another player say the word no, he can take her lei. The adults can mingle around the room asking questions to other party guests to try to get them to say the word. The party guest with the most leis at the end of the game wins the game.

Hula-Hoop Game

Have the adults feeling like children again with an exciting hula-hoop game. Divide the adults into two or three even teams and have them stand side-by-side holding hands. Give the first player in each team line a hula-hoop. When you say, "Go," the teams must maneuver the hula-hoop all the way down their team line and back to the first player in line without letting go of each other's hands. The first team to complete the race wins the game and a prize.
