Middlesex County is a heavily-populated area in Central New Jersey that is dissected by Route 1 and is not far from New York City. The Pine Tavern has a Metuchen mailing address, but is really more associated with being in the town of Old Bridge. The tavern is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week and holds daily specials such as steak, lobster, pasta and prime rib nights. Another example is an evening when patrons receive buffalo wings at half price. The dining is casual and the prices are reasonable. The Pine Tavern also takes pride in its wide selection of wines and beers, many of which are imported. Reservations are accepted at a tavern that describe its menu as "imaginative American cuisine with international flavors.''

Garvey's Family Restaurant and Pub
Garvey's Family Restaurant and Pub is situated in Monroe Township, which is one of the few rural areas in Middlesex County. Garvey's has a relaxed atmosphere with family dining and a reasonable prices. Lunch and dinner specials are available each day.
