Baby Shower Centerpiece Decorations

Baby showers are wonderful gatherings that bring families and friends together to celebrate the arrival of a new baby and shower the mother with lots of gifts to help her care for and spoil her little one. Like any party, there are lots of things to consider when planning, such as centerpiece decorations to set the tone and make the party extra special. Does this Spark an idea?

The function of the centerpiece is a decoration to set the tone and add some festive fun to all the tables so guests will have something to look at and enjoy. These can have a practical purpose or be purely decorative.

The diaper cake is the traditional baby shower centerpiece and is made of baby diapers all rolled up and gathered into multitier cake layers then connected with ribbons and decorative bows or baby toys.

Watermelon baby carriage: It's cute, creative and delicious. You cut off half the top of a watermelon to create a baby carriage shape then hollow out the inside and fill with good tasting and nutritious fruit. Leave some toothpicks on the table and let guests enjoy.

Baby sock lollipop bouquets: Roll up baby socks and wrap in cellophane then insert a lollipop stick. Place all these lollipops in a vase, pot or other container to make into a beautiful bouquet.

Themed cakes: If the baby shower has a theme, it's fun to have a theme cake or several small cakes made to use as centerpieces.


Considerations


Try to choose a centerpieces that are practical and can be used later by the mom-to-be or will be given away to the guests as a prize for winning a game or raffle. This way, they not only serve a decorative purpose but can be used again.
