Free Cheats For Nancy Drew Games

The name Nancy Drew has survived decades. She started out as an amateur detective in a mystery series written by Carolyn Keene, but now she appears in print, movies and in video games. In 2009, her video games could be found on Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii and on the PC. The games are geared toward ages 10 to 14, but the puzzles are difficult enough for adults to enjoy as well.

In-Game Cheats

Play at your skill level. Nancy Drew video games offer Junior Detective mode or Senior Detective mode. The storyline is the same, but the clues will be more obvious in the Junior Detective mode. During the game, Nancy can also call up her friends Bess, George, and Ned for hints. This is a great tool if you're not sure what to do next.

Her Interactive

Use the Her Interactive community message boards at herinteractive.com. Her Interactive makes the Nancy Drew video games and has a user friendly community setting. The message boards are arranged by game then by gaming system. You can either scan through the posts, which list the most recent on top, search by keyword, or post your question. People usually post the same questions you have, so if you scroll through a couple of pages you'll find one similar to yours. Note that some people will request spoilers. If you're just looking for a hint, you can still open the post. The spoiler language will be covered by a black bar, which can only be revealed if you click down on your mouse and scroll over it. If you decide to post a question, try to be specific in the thread title. More people will open your thread if they know what it's about.

Bonuses

The bonuses in Nancy Drew games are called Easter eggs. These are actual painted eggs you receive when you call a certain phone number within the game, perform an action, or play a mini-game beyond what's necessary. Along with the egg, you'll either hear something funny or see a funny picture. See Reference 2 for Easter egg cheats.
