Expensive Decoration Ideas For A Wedding Ceremony

Expensive Decoration Ideas for a Wedding Ceremony

The sky is the limit when it comes to expensive decoration ideas for a wedding ceremony. When cost is no object, then unique and wonderful decorations can be used. For example, for an altar arrangement, use dozens of imported, expensive bird of paradise flowers and have them sculpted into the shape of a frog. Consider your wedding colors, wedding theme and favorite decorative elements when creating the decor for your dream wedding ceremony. The following list offers expensive and tasteful decoration ideas.

Orchid Theme

Orchid flower themes tend to be some of the most expensive decoration ideas for a wedding ceremony, and the most popular. To create an orchid theme, use large wreaths completely covered with fresh ferns and ivy and pink, cream and white orchids, and attach these to the end of each pew or row of chairs. Hang twisted garlands of green silk ribbon, ivy and white tulle between the wreaths along the aisles.

Tie a long, large and loose tulle bow around the bottom of a few wreaths. Have long streams of ivy fall from the middle of each bow, and cover the ends by securing a white orchid in the center of each bow. Hang the wreaths from the walls of the church chamber. Insert into a tall crystal vase a large bouquet of fresh white, cream, yellow, green and pink orchids, twisted branches, ferns, ivy and wild grass to create a tall, fan-shaped arrangement to place on the altar.

Red Rose Theme

Red roses symbolize love and are a classic expensive decoration idea for a wedding ceremony. Use fresh white, pink and red rosebuds, baby's breath, and bright-green leaves to create a gorgeous garland that will sit on the carpet along the sides of the aisle. Or, tie a large, white tulle bow around the inside end of each pew, and hang the rosebud garland between the bows.

Scatter white and pink rose petals around the altar, and line the altar's edges with a few small red votive candles in beautiful crystal candleholders.

White Theme

Hang large, white tulle and white ribbon bows on the inside end of each pew and along the walls of the church chamber. Slide behind the middle of each bow a small bouquet of calla lilies, white rosebuds and beaded pearl filler sprays. Hang and attach to each pew twisted garlands of white tulle, beaded pearl string, silk ribbon, rosebuds and small dahlias.

For an altar decoration, use a large, sturdy, pearly-white vase tied with a large white silk ribbon bow. Fill the vase with tall calla lilies and large, white dahlias, keeping the leaves to add a hint of green. Create a spray-shaped bouquet by adding plenty of white rosebuds, pearl filler sprays, white-tipped ivy, green ivy and baby's breath.
