Cute Wagon Decorating Ideas For The 4th Of July

Decorate your child's wagon for Independence Day.

Many towns hold parades on the 4th of July. Kids are welcome to participate and many decorate their wagons or bicycles as a miniature parade float. Help your child decorate his wagon with red, white and blue so he'll be ready to celebrate our country on the 4th of July. Does this Spark an idea?

Boat Decoration

Use cardboard and duct tape to make a cool boat float out of your child's wagon. Tape the cardboard around the sides of the wagon to completely cover the wagon. Bend a piece of cardboard to make the bow for the front of the wagon.

Use red, white and blue duct tape to attach the cardboard to the wagon and also for decorative purposes. Cover the cardboard completely with the duct tape to make the boat look festive. Add a couple of flags to your boat float for decoration.

Independence Pride

Use lots of red, white and blue streamers, flags and balloons to deck out your child's wagon. Attach flags to each corner of the wagon, and cut streamers to fly behind the wagon and around the handle of the wagon. Make banners for each side of the wagon that say "Happy 4th of July" or "America." Use curling ribbon to tape on to the banners for a decoration. Stick red pinwheels on the front of the wagon's corners with tape.

Stars and Stripes

Purchase or make shiny silver stars for the wagon. Layer streamers around the wagon's edge in alternating colors of red, white and blue. The streamers should look like stripes. Tape the stars all over the stripes for a stars and stripes wagon theme. Place a large star on each wheel, and wrap streamers around the wagon's handle and place little stars over the streamers. Tape a big flag at the back of the wagon to complete the theme.
