has camping along the Gulf of Mexico
Gulf County is located along the Gulf of Mexico on the eastern end of the Florida Panhandle. Campers are drawn to this area for its many fishing, swimming, boating, sunbathing and wildlife-viewing opportunities. Many Gulf County campgrounds are located directly along a body of water and provide quick access to beaches.
T.H. Stone Memorial St. Joseph Peninsula State Park
A big feature at the T.H. Stone Memorial St. Joseph Peninsula State Park is its 10 miles of white sandy beaches. Popular activities in the park include sunbathing, boating, snorkeling and swimming in either the Gulf of Mexico or St. Joseph Bay. Wildlife also can be viewed on this coastal barrier peninsula. Two campgrounds in the park have a combined 119 campsites with water and electric hook-ups. The sites can handle RVs up to 40 feet. Pets are allowed on the campgrounds, which have restrooms and showers, and are a short walk from the beach. Group and primitive campgrounds are in the park along with eight rental cabins along the bay. The primitive campground has no facilities and campers must bring their own supplies.

Indian Pass Campground
The Indian Pass Campground, which is located at the western tip of Apalachicola Bay, is an area with pristine beaches and rich estuaries. The campground area is well known for its fishing and scenic sunsets. Directly across from the campground is St. Vincent Island, a 10-mile National Wildlife Refuge with deer and eagles. Guests can stay in waterfront cabins or RV sites, or at primitive tent campsites. Some of the RVs sites and all tent sites are along the water. The Indian Pass Campground has restrooms, showers, an outdoor pool and a laundry facility, as well as a campground store for your convenience. Fishing charters are readily available in this area.

Fisherman's Landing RV Park
Fisherman's Landing RV Park in Howard Creek has camping sites for RVs and tents. The RV sites come with water, sewer and 20-, 30- or 50-amp electric connections. Wireless Internet access is available. Floating docks, a boat launch and boathouse, and a bait and tackle store are located on the property. Additional amenities include restrooms, showers, a large pavilion for picnics and gatherings, laundry facility, dump station and 24-hour security. A church and park are within walking distance. Reservations for freshwater and saltwater fishing can be made at the park.
