Funny Shower Games

Funny Shower Games

Both bridal showers and baby showers can be an exercise in boredom if there are no games to play or entertainment to keep the guests occupied. Funny shower games can be played at both celebrations that will allow guests to get to know each other and keep them entertained. Does this Spark an idea?

Toilet Paper Wedding

This game can be played during a bridal shower. A few packages of toilet paper are needed for the guests to design toilet paper wedding costumes for the bride and groom. The guests are divided into teams of two, and given a set time to design the costumes, such as 10 minutes. Toilet paper costumes can include bridal veils, shoes and jewelry. After time is up, each team tries the costumes on the wedding couple while the other guests rate the costumes from one to ten. The costume with the most points wins.

The Wedding Night

Another game for a bridal shower involves stuffing a suitcase full of random clothes and objects, such as a bra, goggles, wig and boots. Pretend that the wedding vows have been spoken and it is the bride-to-be's wedding night--except the electricity is out, so she must prepare for her wedding night in the dark. The bride-to-be is blindfolded and has to put on all the clothes in the suitcase. Take a picture of her afterward wearing all the miscellaneous objects and clothes.

"Firsts" Game

This game can be played at both bridal and baby showers. Each guest has a piece of paper or notepad, and a writing utensil. The guests have to write down a specific "firsts" such as their first kiss or a description of their first romantic partner. They should write down their first moment without letting anyone else know what it is. After everyone is finished writing, put all the pieces of paper into a bowl and shuffle them. Someone draws out one piece of paper at a time, and guests try to guess which person the first moment belongs to. Guests can provide theories as to why they believe a first moment belongs to a specific person. Only after the guessing has been completed can each person reveal herself.

Who's Baby Is This?

This game is ideal for a baby shower. Before the shower, gather pictures of all the guests and go to a website such as MakeMeBabies or the Luxand Babymaker that will mix together two photos to create a composite "child" of the two people in the photographs. You can have several "babies" of different guests made and print them out. At the baby shower, the pictures are presented and the guests have to try to figure out which two people created which baby.

Cookie Rush

This game can be played during a wedding or baby shower. A few guests at a time are selected as "cooking show contestants" and provided with all the ingredients required to make cookies, as well as a few cookbooks or cookie recipes. They have a set amount of time, such as five or ten minutes, to make cookie dough and race against each other in the kitchen to prepare their cookies. This can be videotaped, with other guests egging the contestants on to finish or providing them with suggestions. When the time is up, the competitors put their cookies in the oven. When the cookies are finished, the guests sample each cookie batch to decide who the winner is.
