Guide To Nightclub Promotions

Good nightclub promoting skills can be the difference between a full dance floor and an empty room.

Being a nightclub promoter can be a fun, but demanding job. Successful nightclub promotion takes a lot of time and effort. It is important to have a solid team in place and good communication skills when working as a promoter. There are a few key tasks to keep in mind when it comes to drawing in a large crowd.

Social Media

As a promoter it is important to advertise where your target audience is. Many young adults who have time and money to spend in nightclubs are active on social media websites. Use sites such as Twitter and Facebook to promote local parties. Use hashtags on Twitter to attract followers who live in your city. Start a Facebook fan page for the club you are promoting. Ask your personal friends to become fans of the nightclub and grow your list from there. Be sure to offer specials to social media users to encourage them to come to club.

Flyers

Although the Internet has become a big part of the nightclub promotions world, fliers are not dead. Fliers still work as a great tool for spreading the message about new parties around college campuses. Make sure that your fliers clearly state the venue address, night of the party, minimum age to attend and drink specials for the night. Don't forget to add extras that may attract new prospects such as free admission before a certain time or a featured musical guest. Hire a college student to hand out the fliers on or around campus.

Drink Specials

Discounts and specials are always a great way to draw in customers. Work with the venue owner to come up with specials for different days of the week. Dollar beers on a Tuesday can be a good way to attract the college crowd during the week. Amp up your specials on weekends when the business crowd may be more prone to party out on the town. Promote discounts on mixed drinks or offer VIP bottle service.

Photography

Digital photography is key to nightclub promoting. Your clients will enjoy seeing pictures of themselves and their friends on the nightclub website. Take digital photographs of groups of friends having a good time in the club. Be sure to hand out cards with the name of the website to each person you take a picture of so he can go home and view the photos. Always try to post the photos within 24 hours of the event. Practice your picture taking skills. The better the pictures look, the more likely people will be to share the website through social media.
