Decorate your camper to enjoy your accommodations during a camping trip.
If you want to go camping in a camper that reflects your taste and style, decorate it with your personal touch. Some people camp out for a week or two, or even as short a time as a weekend, only expecting that their camper will keep them warm and dry as they travel from place to place. Others spend weeks and even months traveling and living in their camper. Anyone can benefit from a nicely decorated camper to help to create a positive and personalized camping experience.
Interior
Cover cushions and hang curtains with matching or complementary materials. Use bright and vibrant colors to perk up the space. Employ color schemes that you don't use in your home, where you may prefer a more conservative look. Use your camper to explore and experiment with different hues and designs. Customize the cupboard doors in the camper with wallpaper or paint that complements the other colors and patterns in your camper. You can ensure that all the colors and patterns match but still create a stunning and exciting look in your camper.
Lighting
Install creative lighting fixtures in your camper. Select fixtures that provide you with the light that you need but create the look that you expect to achieve. Elegant, modernistic, antiqued, colorful or themed lighting will allow you to give your camper the "look" that you want to achieve without taking up any floor of counter space. Include outdoor lights that you can hang next to the camper for evenings outside.
Outside the Camper
Decorate the outside of your camper to give the camper an individualized look. Paint the outside of the camper in a traditional shade or have fun with psychedelic or other wild colors and designs. If you plan to park your camper for a while, lay a rug outside and put up a nice awning. Scatter flowerpots with plants around the camper's "porch." Fly a flag to let the world know where you're from, or who your favorite team is. Create a homey feeling outside your camper by putting out a personalized sign at the entrance to your campsite and hanging outdoor decorations from the camper awning.
Holidays
Celebrate the holidays in your camper by decorating the camper accordingly. Find decorations that don't take up space but that put you and your camper in the holiday spirit. Attach wreaths to the outside and inside of your camper in preparation for Christmas, and string the outside of the camper with festive Christmas lights. Make it spooky for Halloween with a safe electric jack-o'-lantern plugged in outside, or cardboard cutouts of ghouls, goblins and skeletons draped with faux cobwebs. You can hang symbols of other holidays as mobiles in your camper or put stencils or pictures on the windows.
