Adult Halloween Party Menu Ideas

Themed party foods can make your halloween party more interesting.

If you are planning a Halloween party for you and your adult friends, you will need to plan a menu that is appropriate for grown-ups. You can choose a menu that is simple or complex. You can also choose whimsical or more sophisticated food to fit your party theme. Knowing the food choices available to you will make it easier to choose the right foods to make your party a success. Does this Spark an idea?

Party Foods

Party foods can be limited to simple finger foods or to complete meals. If you want to go with finger foods, consider something simple such as chicken wings. You can add a cute name to them such as bat wings. Or make deviled eggs and set them on a devil-themed serving platter. If you want a more whimsical look, color the yolks of your deviled eggs and add olives to make them look like eye balls.

If you want more of a meal, you can create a seasonal theme such as harvest stew. For a more creepy meal, add cooked rice to the top of the stew to look like maggots. Or you can create individual sandwiches in the shape of pumpkins and bats by using cookie cutters, if you want a more simple meal.

Cakes

You can carry your Halloween theme over into your dessert as well. You can easily make a pumpkin shaped cake out of a bundt cake. To add a stem, turn an ice cream cone upside down and put it in the hole of the cake. You can even add a jack-o'-lantern face on the cake. You can make simple cupcakes and frost them in orange and black. Or make a graveyard cake out of a sheet cake. The gravestones can be made out of peanut butter sandwich cookies.

Beverages

You can choose from a number of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to add to your Halloween theme. You can use themed glasses, such as skull-shaped cups or themed dispensers, such as a black plastic witches caldron to hold the drinks. Adding dry ice to the caldron will give it a more festive feel. Add a splash of grenadine to a lemon-lime drink or vodka to create a "vampire's kiss." Or you can create eyeball ice cubes using radishes and stuffed green olives.
