Traveling through Paris in a wheelchair can be a difficult experience since French building codes do not require wheelchair accessibility as U.S. codes do. Furthermore, in downtown Paris space is at such a premium that most restaurants and boutique hotels do not have the space for wheelchair ramps or, often, elevators. The Costes K hotel is situated in Paris's sixteenth arrondissement. The location gives guests easy access to both the Trocadero and the Arc de Triomphe, and the Eiffel Tower is about half a mile away. The hotel gives special attention to guests with physical limitations. It has four elevators, making any guest room wheelchair accessible, not a standard feature in many Parisian hotels, and some of the rooms have been designed for easy wheelchair access.
