Brussels Night Clubs

Many clubs are located around the city's famed Grande Place.

As the headquarters for NATO and the European Union, Brussels is the new "capital of Europe." The city's nightlife reflects this international atmosphere. Trendy underground techno nightspots with music blaring into the wee hours share neighborhoods with sophisticated jazz clubs where eurocrats bump elbows with bohemian bebop aficionados.

Anarchic

Recognized for having "the sexiest parties around" by Brusselsmania, the Anarchic series turns the K-nal building into a hopping club every Friday night. The party features some of Belgium's hottest DJs and electronic music artists, including Jules X, Bernard Dobbeleer and Le Karaoke de Jules Ullmann. Club sponsors include Bacardi, Carlsberg, Moet & Chandon and Perrier. Cover charge is 5 euros before midnight at 10 euros after. Tables can also be reserved in advance.

Duke's

Duke's was noted by Lonely Plant Brussels for its "outrageous kitsch (lots of velour)...[that] lures an over 30 crowd." Friday nights have a "Back in the Dayzz/Old School Generation" theme, so expect eighties and nineties pop standards rather than contemporary hits. Club hours are Friday and Saturday from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Admission prices vary, but on Fridays ladies get in free. The club Space, which is located inside the elegant Royal Windsor Hotel, is available for rental on other nights of the week.

Music Village

Located in an historic seventeenth century building, Music Village "offers all music fans...a return to the Golden Age of International Jazz Clubs." The club features almost nightly concerts, ending at 11 on weekdays and midnight on weekends. Dinner is available on all nights. Admission ranges from 7 to 20 euros. Music Village has been home to some of the biggest names in European Jazz, including Phillippe Catherine, Charles Loos and Nathalie Loriers. The club also makes a point of fostering new talent by hosting the annual Brussels International Young Jazz Singers Competition. The space is available for private functions on off nights.
