Clean Bridal Shower Games

Add fun to your bridal shower by playing these clean party games.

Bridal showers are a common wedding tradition. A party given in honor of the bride, the bridal shower may be hosted by the bridesmaids, maid of honor or a close relative of the bride or groom. Bridal showers are usually attended by the bride's friends and relatives, as well as close female relatives in the groom's family. Add family-friendly fun to the party with clean bridal shower games that are rated for a PG audience.

Bride Trivia

Find out who knows the bride best with a bride-oriented trivia game. Give each person at the bridal shower a piece of paper and a writing tool. Ask questions about the bride: when she met the groom, what she does for a living, how many kids she wants to have, her favorite color, her favorite movie. You should have five to 10 questions, depending on how long you want the game to last. All the guests will give their best guess at each answer. The bride will also play the game, giving the correct answers to every question, of course. The person who matches answers with the bride the most times wins the game. The bride trivia game allows everyone at the party to learn a little bit more about the bride, as well as test the amount of knowledge they already have regarding the guest of honor.

Purse Game

Since bridal showers are traditionally attended only by women, play a female-oriented bridal shower game called the "purse game." The hostess of the shower will make a list of odd and common purse items: a safety pin, a tube of lipstick, a snack and tweezers, for example. Choose around 12 items to put on the list. The person with the most items from the list wins the game. You may also include a separate prize for the person who has the most unusual item of all in their purse.

Complete the Recipe

Print 10 common recipes on sheets of paper or index cards---standard foods such as chocolate chip cookies, deviled eggs or pancakes---but leave one key ingredient out of each. Make copies of the recipes for each guest. The goal of the game is to guess the missing ingredient in each recipe. The guest who completes the most recipes wins the game. Give a cooking-related prize to the winner.

Bride Bingo

Use standard bingo to create a clean bridal shower game. Print out standard bingo cards for each guest, but write the word "bride" across the top of each card instead of "bingo." Each column should include wedding- and bride-related words. For example, one column could include colors the bride plans to use in the wedding. Another column could contain flower words, and so on.
