Plan your carnival game booth.
School carnivals are normally given to help raise funds for the school. There are so many enjoyable attractions and foods that help make a successful carnival event. Moon bounces, cotton candy, rented carnival rides, hot dogs and popcorn are just a few items you may find at a school carnival. Carnival booths are a staple at these events. There are so many booth ideas to consider when planning a school carnival.
Bean Bag Toss
The bean bag toss is a classic game that is perfect for all ages. To create this game make a bean bag target out of plywood or foam core. Both materials can be purchased from an art supply store. Cut out holes in the material so it is wide enough that the bean bags can fit through it. Paint the board with a colorful design. Allow each player to throw at least three bean bags at the target.
Can Toss
Test the carnival goers aim and preciseness with a can toss booth. Stack cans in a pyramid and allow each player to throw two to four balls at the cans. You can use empty canned food cans wrapped in different color construction paper. There are many types of balls that are used in this can toss: tennis balls, rubber baseballs or other types of balls can be used for this game. You can make up the rules for this game to be as creative as you can stand. For example, require the students to turn in circles three times before they attempt to throw the ball. Anyone who knocks down at least one can is a winner.
Wading Fish Pond
Create a wading fish pool as a carnival booth. Purchase a wading pool and a dozen yellow ducks. Fill the wading pool with water. Before you place the ducks in the "pond" write numbers between one to three on the bottom of each duck. When the player selects a duck from the wading pool "pond," the number on the bottom of the duck determines the prize. For example, a duck with a number three written on the bottom of it will give the player a "funny teeth" gag prize and a duck with a number one on the bottom of it will award players a teddy bear. Use a fishing net to scoop up a duck out of the pool.
Football Toss
Hang various sized hula-hoop rings from the ceiling to create a football toss carnival booth. Set the game up so that players have to score a certain amount of points to win a prize. Give each player four footballs to throw through the rings. To score the maximum amount of points and get the best prize players should try to throw footballs through the smaller rings.
