The Aloha Flea Market in Honolulu is a bustling way to see some of the island's native flair. Open Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., this market is located at Waikiki's Aloha Stadium and offers everything from food and produce to clothing and home goods. It's also a good spot to pick up cultural items and souvenirs. Make sure to arrive early to scope out the best vendors. The Aloha Flea Market Shuttle picks up guests from most major Waikiki hotels, and the local bus will also get you there.

Diamond Head
Diamond Head is a 760-foot volcanic crater that provides an excellent view of the Pacific Ocean. Hikers flock to the area for some free outdoor adventure, and the trail is mild enough for amateur explorers. Hikers can enter off of Monsarrat Ave., where parking is available. Two man-made staircases are available at some of the steepest spots and the trail does include a dark tunnel, so a flashlight may be necessary.The trail is about .7 miles long.

U.S.S. Arizona Memorial Tour
The U.S.S. Arizona located at Pearl Harbor in Honolulu is a piece of American history. The memorial spot honors the attack on Pearl Harbor, which signaled the start of America's involvement in World War II. The memorial is open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and a shuttle boat to the site is available. The memorial includes seasonal programs and a documentary presentation.

The Honolulu Zoo is a free way to see exotic wildlife, some native to the island. With exhibits showcasing lions, elephants and zebras, the zoo also features the nene, a Hawaiian goose, and Hawaiian greenery and birds. The zoo is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and parking is available for a small hourly fee.
