Diy Bachelorette Party Games

Be creative when planning bachelorette party games.

Without fun games to play, a bachelorette party might just be another get-together with friends. When planning a bachelorette party for yourself or someone else, choose games that are easy to follow and provide plenty of interaction among guests. You can also ask each guest to bring a game idea to the party so that you don’t have to do all the planning and organizing yourself. For prizes, use gift cards in small denominations or affordable bath and beauty products.

Instructions

1. Ask guests to sit in a circle and tell their funniest, most moving or most inspiring story about the bride-to-be. Pass around a wrapped prize, which each woman will hold when it’s her turn to speak. The guest with the best story wins the prize. This game is a great way to break the ice and help guests get to know one another.

2. Ask each guest to write some advice for the bride-to-be on a slip of paper. Place all slips into a box or large hat. The bachelorette will pull out each slip, read the advice out loud and guess who wrote it. After the party, she can put all the slips of paper in a memory book.

3. Play the slumber party classic Truth or Dare. Choose a leader, who will ask each guest to choose "truth" or "dare." If she chooses "truth," she must truthfully answer a question posed by the leader. If she selects "dare," she must complete a dare, such as phone an ex-boyfriend or attempt to tie a maraschino cherry stem using only her tongue.

4. Buy ingredients for desserts, such as ice cream, cookies, candy bars, chocolate syrup, whipped cream and sprinkles. Write down each item on an index card. Split the guests into two or more teams and have them randomly select an equal number of index cards. Give each team 15 minutes to make a creative, tasty dessert for everyone to share. The team that produces the best dessert, as chosen by the bachelorette, wins prizes. You can play this same game using alcohol and mixers.

5. Affix a poster of a nude or semi-nude man to a wall. Blindfold players, and have them take turns trying to pin a pair of boxers, which you can cut out from paper, on the hunk. The winner receives the poster as her prize.

6. Ask each guest to look through her purse as the game leader calls out items commonly found in a woman’s handbag. Each item will have a point value. For example, a lipstick tube might be worth five points while an MP3 player is worth 15. Ask each guest to tally her points during the game. The guest with the most points at the end wins a prize. You can also give a prize to someone who has an item in her purse that no one else has.
