Decorations
Use pieces of blue material or blue tablecloths and fishing nets to decorate the party venue. Prop surfboards or ironing boards covered in beach towels (to look like surfboards) against the walls.
Picture Time
Cover a long, sturdy table with a blue tablecloth and lay a surfboard on top. Hang a fishing net or sheet with a beach scene painted on it behind the table. Have each child stand on the surfboard to have his picture taken.
Games
Have a sandcastle-building contest. You could also go coconut bowling by using a coconut to knock down pineapples.
Cake
Cut a 9-by-13 cake in the shape of a surfboard, and frost it with bright colors.
Food and Drinks
Serve fresh fruit on skewers with dip, goldfish crackers and Hawaiian pizza. Fill your glasses with Hawaiian Punch, and top them with little umbrellas.
