A Victorian dinner is an elegant way to throw a birthday party. The upper class in the 19th century would hold an elaborate dinner to show their wealth and status. You can show your appreciation for your birthday boy or girl with this  fancy celebration. The traditional Victorian dinner is a three- to seven-course meal depending on the size of the guest list. The first course, for six people, is soup and fish. The next is the entree that usually consists of mutton or lobster. The next course is roast beef or pork with vegetables. The last course is the dessert which was often a pudding. This type of dinner would be best for those who are comfortable eating meat because Victorians ate very few vegetables and fruit.
