Free And Fun Bridal Shower Games To Play

Fun games can help make a bridal shower a memorable event.

A bridal shower is a time for wedding guests and the bridal party to get together and have fun. Part of the fun is showering the bride and groom with gifts and playing games. There are a variety of games you can play to help make your bridal shower a memorable event --- and even better, the games are free. Does this Spark an idea?

Games for the Bride

Have someone in the bridal party interview the groom before the shower, asking him 20 questions about himself and his and the bride's relationship. Quiz the bride at the shower on the questions and make her chew a piece of gum for every question she misses, adding to whatever pieces she already had in her mouth. Another fun game for the bride is to give her a suitcase filled with humorous items such as men's underwear, an oversized bra, sunglasses, etc. Tell her to pretend it is her honeymoon night and the electricity has gone out and she has to get dressed in the dark. Blindfold her and instruct her to dress herself with the items in the suitcase, and take her picture afterward.

Icebreakers

The First Kiss game is an easy and fun icebreaker. Have guests write down a short description of their first kiss and place each description in front of a jar. Tell the other guests to write down the name of the person they think the description belongs to and place it in the jar. Have each guest reveal their description, and then determine how many other guests guessed correctly. Two Truths and a Lie is another fun icebreaker game. Give everyone a piece of paper upon arrival and tell them to write down two facts about themselves and one lie. Have each guest read what they wrote aloud while the others try to guess what the lie is.

Games for Everyone

Recipe for Marriage is a fun, free game that can be played at any shower. Give each guest an index card and tell her to write down advice on making a marriage last. Have guests sign their name on each card and let the bride read them aloud. Word scramble is another game that everyone can play. Give each person a piece of paper and something to write with and tell her to write a wedding-related word such as "marriage" at the top of the page. Give guests one minute to write down as many words as they can using the letters in the given word. The person who makes the most words wins.

Coed Shower Games

Pick the Groom is a fun game suitable for a coed bridal shower. With this game, the men at the bridal shower roll their pants legs up and the bride feels their legs while blindfolded to try to pick her husband-to-be. Famous Couples Charade is another game that both men and women can play. Write down the names of famous celebrity couples on individual pieces of paper and place them in a bowl. Divide the men and women into teams, with one man and one woman on each team. Have each team pull a celebrity couple out of the bowl and take turns acting them out while the other players try to guess who they are.
