Activities On Oahu Hawaii

Get up close with Oahu marine life.

Oahu, Hawaii, offers numerous recreational activities for both tourists and locals. Take a shark tour and see sharks up close or choose from water sport activities off Oahu's coast. Helicopter tours are available for those who want to experience Hawaii from an aerial standpoint. Oahu's pristine waters are ideal for snorkeling and scuba diving.

Shark Swim Tour

The Oahu Shark Swim Tour operates daily out of the North Shore of Oahu and includes the opportunity to either enter the cage for a close-up shark encounter or watch the sharks circle the boat. The tour is two hours long and features a descriptive narration about the variety of sharks that inhabit Hawaiian waters. A safety briefing happens before the tour; should you decide to brave the shark cage, you have the opportunity to bring an underwater camera. Tour options include surface and cage viewings at either 9 or 11 a.m. Masks and snorkels are provided and you will remain in the cage for about 20 to 30 minutes.
