Baby Shower Activities For Kids

Offer games for kids at your baby shower.

Baby showers are fun. Games make the shower more fun. Most baby-shower games are geared toward adults, so if children will be attending your gathering, be sure to include options to provide entertainment for them.

Coloring Contest

Most kids love coloring. Set up a table with crayons, markers, colored pencils and several pictures to color. Printable coloring book pictures can be found online at such sites as ColoringBookFun.com, Free-Coloring-Pages.com or Crayola.com. To keep with the baby theme, choose pictures of babies, rattles, baby bottles or baby animals. Have guests or the expectant mother determine the winner.

Pin the Baby on the Mommy

This is a version of the classic Pin the Tail on the Donkey game. Tape a large cutout of a pregnant woman to a wall. The pregnant mother can be drawn by hand on a large piece of paper and cut out. Hand out to the children little, paper cutouts of babies with a piece of tape attached to one side. You can either hand-draw the babies or print them out from a website. Have the children write their names on the paper babies. Blindfold each child in turn and spin them around a few times. Explain that the object is to place the baby cutout as close to the center of the belly on the expectant mother cutout as possible.

Make a Baby

Give the children packs of bubble gum. Tell them to form a baby out of the gum as if it were clay. Lay our each gum baby and have guests vote to determine the winner. Allow the children to keep any extra gum.
