All Inclusive Cruises With Alcohol

With an all-inclusive cruise you will pay once for your food, beverages, entertainment and in some cases, alcoholic beverages. Most travelers save with this type of vacation. You can eat and drink until you're full without having to open your wallet. Most cruise lines do not include alcoholic beverages in their all-inclusive packages; however, you can enjoy free alcohol at special events during your trip.

Carnival Cruises

Carnival Cruise ships sail to Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico, Europe, Bermuda, the Caribbean, the Bahamas and the Panama Canal. You can cruise anywhere from two to ten or more days. On board Carnival ships are fitness centers, pools, water slides, guest activities, restaurants, bars and lounges. A perk of all-inclusive cruises is free room service. Since dining is already included in the price of booking, you can take advantage of 24-hour room service. However, not all Carnival Cruises include alcoholic beverages in the all-inclusive deal.

Carnival does offer alcohol in the Caribbean all-inclusive package. All-inclusive packages do not include food or beverages off the ship. Carnival does not allow travelers to bring alcohol onto the ship, unless it is a bottle of wine or champagne that is corked. They will charge you a corking fee if you want to enjoy your bottle with dinner.

Royal Caribbean Cruises

You must be 21 years or older to drink on a Royal Caribbean cruise, unless you are traveling to a destination where the drinking age is lower. If you are between the ages of 18 and 20 and traveling with a parent, you may drink on board if the parent signs a waiver. The alcohol policy is stricter on Royal Caribbean. No alcohol is allowed onto the cruise ship, not even bottles of wine or champagne. However, you can enjoy free alcohol if you are a diamond-plus member or staying in a Grand Suite or other suite style room. In the event that you meet its criteria, you will have access to the ship's free self-service bar nightly.

Princess Cruises

You must be 21 years or older to drink on a Princess Cruise, even if docking in a country where the legal age is 18. That said, you can enjoy free alcohol on your all-inclusive cruise during special events. Make sure to make it to the captain's welcome, the captain's circle party, champagne waterfall, art auction and the captain's farewell party. You cannot bring alcohol onto the ship, unless it is a corked bottle of wine or champagne. You can bring your bottle into one of the ship's restaurants if you pay the $15 corkage fee.
