Drinks With Parrot Bay Coconut Rum

When looking for more of a tropical feel to your cocktails or mixed drinks, Captain Morgan's Parrot Bay coconut rum can be a tasty addition. Parrot Bay provides a light coconut taste, making it integral in many different types of tropical drinks. Parrot Bay coconut rum is an alcoholic beverage with an alcohol by volume of between 21 to 45 percent. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Pina Colada

Pina Coladas are often served with a tropical theme due to their mixture of coconut and pineapple. To make this drink, combine 3 oz. Parrot Bay coconut rum with 3 tbsp. crushed pineapple, and 3 tbsp. coconut milk in a tall glass full of ice. If you do not have crushed pineapple, use pineapple juice instead. If the drink is too light or too strong, add more Parrot Bay for a kick, or more pineapple juice to water it down. For a blended version of this drink, make the recipe the same but pour the contents of the tall glass into a blender and blend the ice until smooth.

Blue Hawaiian

A Blue Hawaiian can use Parrot Bay coconut rum in place of the Malibu rum that is typically used. For this recipe, fill a tall glass of ice with 1 oz. Parrot Bay rum and 2 oz. Captain Morgan's rum. Add 1 oz. creme de banana and 1 oz. Blue Curacao. Finish off with enough pineapple juice to fill the glass.

Parrot Bay Sunset

The Parrot Bay Sunset is a simple cocktail that is hard to do incorrectly. For this drink just mix 1 1/2 oz. Parrot Bay coconut rum with 4 oz. orange juice and 1 oz. cranberry juice in a tall glass filled with ice. The mixture of the orange juice with the red of the cranberry helps create the coloring that mimics a sunset, hence the name.

Betsie Temple

For those who are ready to graduate from the Shirley Temple to something with alcohol, but like the flavor of the Shirley Temple, the Betsie Temple is a good drink for you. Mix 4 oz. pineapple juice with 4 oz. Parrot Bay coconut rum in a tall glass filled with ice. Add a splash of grenadine syrup and garnish with maraschino cherries.

Bahama Mama

The Bahama Mama is a drink that can be either blended into a smoothie or served over ice as a cocktail. Mix 1 oz. Banana Creme Liqueur with 1 oz. Captain Morgan's Parrot Bay coconut rum in a tall glass filled with ice. Add 1 oz. Malibu rum and a splash of grenadine. Garnish with maraschino cherries.
